My babies love to swing!

As a baby, Owen loved to swing at the park. This hasn't changed a bit in the last two years and Paige enjoys it just as much. Recently I took a picture of Paige that reminded me of Owen when he was about her age now. It has been fun to look back through the pics of Owen at a year old. I love digital pictures and the ease at which you can go back and view them...ah, but I digress.

The Royal Mess

This past week Owen and I had an especially tough morning with one another...I think the picture really says it all.

Is it fun for them to make messes like these? He not only took all his own toys and books off his shelves, he brought every book from Paige's room as well as her baskets of toys and dumped them on his floor.

It wouldn't have been soooo bad if the clean up had been a little easier. Three year olds can come up with good excuses - all of a sudden, his hands didn't work and the books were too heavy! When I asked Owen to clean up the mess he said "no, you do it." Not surprisingly, that didn't sit well with me and not with him either. We eventually got the mess cleaned up but it took awhile.

Owen apologized all afternoon and told me he was sorry and wouldn't make a mess like that again...for some reason I don't believe him! The next day he took the books off of Paige's shelves again but left them in her room...baby step right?

Curly or Straight?

I'm not sure what Paige's hair is going to be like as she grows older...straight, curly or somewhere inbetween. It is straight in the morning but curly by afternoon, but regardless of the time, I think it's pretty cute but of course, I'm biased.

Paige's 1st Birthday

On the 25th of July we celebrated Paige's first birthday. It was pretty low-key, just Jared, Owen, and myself and of course- the birthday girl. Not surprisingly, Owen was more excited about the festivties than Paige was. Here are some pics of Paige opening a few presents on her big day.
